“From the great teachings of the Buddha, which lead the way to self-awareness and the inner liberation of all sentient beings, we pledge to promote peace and support the needy internally and abroad.
We oppose every form of violence, oppression and deprivation of liberty, no matter if through dictatorship, war, or any kind of mental or physical violence, such as reprisals, arbitrary injustice, deportation, rape, torture, malnutrition, or deprivation of education.”
